KINGS OF SOPHENE. Mithradates I, circa 2nd half of 2nd century BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 13 mm, 1.95 g, 12 h). Diademed and draped bust of Mithradates I to left, wearing bashlyk tied with a diadem. Rev. [BA]ΣΙΛΕΩΣ / [ΜΙΘΡ]ΙΔΑΤOY Herakles standing facing, head to left, leaning right on club and holding lion's skin draped over his left arm. Kovacs -. Unpublished and unique. An important and exciting piece in excellent condition. Very light deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
